Si relative considerentur partium terrae habitatores, respectu ad se invicem, alii Periaeci sunt, alii Antoeci, alii Antipodes. Perioece sunt, qui pari Latitudine ab Aequatore distant, et ab eodem Aequatoris latere habitant (utrique scil. a Boreali eius latere, aut utrique ab Australi) sed Longitudinem plane oppositam habent, ita scil. ut ipsorum Meridiani 180. gradibus a se invicem distent. Tales sunt incolae Virginiae in America, respectu Chinensium in Asia ultima. His par dierum longitudo, et pares anni tempestates, pari tempore contingunt; sed dum aliis meridies, aliis media nox est. Iam vero Antoec: sunt, qui eandem Longitudinem habent, quippe sub eodem Parallelo habitantes, et parem etiam Latitudinem, sed hi Borealem, illi Australem: Tales sunt Peloponnesi in Graecia incolae, respectu extremae Africae habitatorum ad Caput Bonae Spei. His simul meridies est, et pariter media nox; Sed cum aliis horum aestas est, aliis hiems est; cum aliis dies longissimi, aliis brevissimi. Denique Antipodes sibi invicem sunt, quibus tam Longitudo, quam Latitudo opposita est, ita ut totô Sphaerae diametrô a se invicem distent. Tales sunt Chinenses, respectu incolarum Chili Americanae regionis.
